Vaishnavi's answer about things to do in Place de Neuve, Geneva, Botanischer Garten Zürich, Swiss National Museum, Jungfraujoch and Zurich
Things to See

Switzerland is romance in all its splendor!  It is amazing how Switzerland, with its breathtaking scenery and and unpolluted air, can kindle warmth in the hearts of even the coldest people. While Switzerland's every corner lives and breathes romance, the major tourist destinations, like Geneva,  Zurich and Berne are  the "ideal" destinations for romance and cultural understanding.

Visiting Switzerland and not  taking a tour to the majestic Alps is an absolute crime. Many one day tours start from Zurich and take you through a journey inside these incredible mountains. One of this is the famous Jungfraujoch –Top of Europe tour.  The duration of the whole trip is around 11 hours.

Here is a review:

This trip is a must for everyone visiting Switzerland in my opinion. While visiting, everything had gone our way perfectly including a very good weather. A really spectacular and unforgettable experience for my me and my wife who are first time visiting Switzerland. On top of that, I would like to commend on the professional service rendered by the tour organizer for a very dedicated driver (Freddie) and guide (Peter) through out the whole journey. Special thanks to Peter also for able to make last minute changes on the train itinerary due to weather condition

2. Rhine Falls

Located just outside of Zurich, the Rhine Falls is Europe's biggest waterfall and so definitely worth a visit. The waterfall offers a spectacular view and a beautiful scenery. It is one of the top tourist attractions in Zurich. You also have the option of embarking on a boat ride to enjoy a close-up view.

Here is what a traveler has to say:

Fantastic views and lots of opportunities to take some lovely pics. Went on a really hot day, and although the way to the falls is down the way back up is fairly steep. Easy enough to visit in half a day. Wouldn't recommend spending the whole day there, though definitely worth a visit!

4. Swiss National Museum

The Swiss National Museum gives one an epic look into the culture and history of the Swiss. Its mammoth collection, housed in a feudal-looking 19th-century facade, contains among others, works of religious art (which includes the 16th-century stained glass from the Tanikon Convent and priceless frescoes from the church of Mustair). Some of these Carolingian art date back to the 9th century. The altarpieces found here are all carved, painted, and gilded.

Here's a review I came across:

Great place -- has all sorts of historical pieces. I remember in particular the elaborate battle constructions of different conflicts, with small soldier figures. I love all of the different artifacts in here. Conveniently located as well - right near the Banhoff.

Step into the prehistoric section for an exceptional array of exhibits. Some even go back to 4th millennium B.C. There are artifacts from 17th-century china, there are age old furniture, costumes, and dollhouses. Not to mention, exhibits tracing the history of Swiss clock making from the 16th to the 18th centuries.

1. Musee de l'Horlogerie (Watch Museum)
0

This Museum is a must if you are a watch lover. This is in a tiny green park  and most of the over 1000 objects of mechanical wizardry here are from the 16th through 20th centuries.

Many of the timepieces originated from Geneva and made their way around the world and back home.

2. Place de Neuve
0

Place de Neuve is the mecca of activity in Geneva, be it music, art or a collage of museums, there is always something to do or see here.

It is the venue of three of the most popular halls in Geneva that host exhibitions and showcase regal performance, namely the Grand Theatre (opera house), Conservatory of Music and Rath Museum. Apart from that, even the architectural beauty of the place is enough to lure you. Right in the center of Place Neuve, you will find the statue of Henri Dufour, the Swiss General who presided over the First Geneva Convention.

This is the largest lake in the Central Europe and is breathtaking. It is shared by Switzerland and France! The alpine landscape, contiguous wooden chalets, vineyard-covered gradients and azure waters of the lake is the perfect inspiration to artists from all over the world.

I am sure this will enchant you.

4. Jet d'Eau (Water Fountain)
0

Nobody goes back from Geneva without visiting the magnificent Jet d'Eau. One of the tallest fountains in the whole world, it projects 140 meters into the air.

The fountain pumps 500 liters of water per second and carried it into air at the speed of 200 km per hour.

The best time to visit Jet d'Eau is in the late evening, when it is beautifully illuminated and looks brilliant against the dark sky.
