The Shaka Surf Club is located in the town of Manipal, Karnataka on the West Coast of India.It was founded in 2007 by Tushar Pathiyan and Ishita Malaviya. They offer surf lessons, board rentals and various camps. Courses provided are the basic ones for beginners, intermediate and advanced. They also guide you with accommodation options, depending on your budget.

The Shaka Surf Club is all about freedom in the waves, good vibes, not taking things too seriously and learning to just go with the flow. We started The Shaka Surf Club to share our stoke of surfing with all the good folk who cross our wave-filled path. We welcome people, of all ages, hailing from all places, to come surf with us in India

We had an amazing few days with Tushar and Ishita. It was one of the highlights of our whole trip to India. They didn't just give us excellent coaching in one of the most beautiful spots of beach we've ever seen, but looked after us so well in the evenings too, taking us to the best places to eat and drink in Manipal. Their whole set-up was really relaxed and friendly, sensational value and we got to see dolphins, twice!. We order you to go surfing with them, you'll be glad you did! Gavin and Joy

Surfing India has been a pioneer in promoting surfing in India. It also boasts of being the only place selling surfing equipments online. It offers training classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers. What's more, they even guide you in finding the best spots to dive. Accommodation and meals are available at the institute during the time of your stay.

Surf lessons are available at a reasonable rate, and after careful consideration of the individuals' fitness level & time, place and circumstances. Surf lessons are reserved for guests of our Ashram Surf Retreat. As far as we know there are no other surf instructors operating in India. We accommodate beginners and always try to make sure our guests are not put into circumstances (waves) far beyond their level of competence.

Kallialay Surf School is based in a small village called Tandaryankuppam located between Pondicherry and Auroville. It is being run by two persons by the name of Juan and Samai. Beginner to advanced level courses are provided and the duration is from 7 to 10 days.
