Tent based accommodation options in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan

November 20, 2011

Jaisalmer sounds great, thanks! The tent seems to be a dent in the pocket though. We aren't foreigners, please recommend cheap organizers. Else suggest if we can buy our own tents!

Hi there,

I understand the tents/accommodation options suggested prior to this are a bit pricey. Having said that, after doing a lot of research I find that most tents/camps do not fall in the "cheap" budget range. As most of these tents are luxurious, Swiz tents, they tend to be a bit pricey. Also, most tent accommodation facilities come as a package that includes meals as well as a tour of the city. Naturally they do become expensive.

Sadly, I found no place to rent or buy your own tent in Jaislamer. However, I have found you a few tents/huts that are not just as expensive. Take a look.

1. Kuldhara Heritage Resort

Kuldhara Heritage Resort is located close to come of the city's major attractions like the Jaisalmer Fort, Nathmalji-ki-Haveli and the Gadi Sagar Tank. It offers luxurious deluxe huts that are equipped with everything required to make your stay a comfortable one. The resort is 9 kms away from the main city and gives you the rare opportunity to enjoy a romantic moonlight night amidst yellow sand dunes and a pretty little village.
