One of the top things to do in Pittsburgh to go on one of the 1800 restored inclines to the top of the Mt. Washington.  The view of the Pittsburgh skyline is absolutely spectacular from here. The Monongahela and Duquesne Inclines that  rise nearly 400 feet are the more popular inclines.

I've visited Pittsburgh as a tourist about every other year for most of my life. And nearly every trip includes a ride up the Mon. It remains just as fun (and a little bit scary) as when I was a kid. Few cities boast a view like the downtown Pittsburgh skyline as seen from Mt. Washington. Bring your camera.

The best way to see Pittsburgh when you are running short of time is to go an  a Just Ducky Tour. This is a land and water tour that shows you around the sights of the beautiful city. The tour Departs from Station Square and is  a one hour exciting ride in a  vintage World War II amphibious vehicle.

Great tour and views of the city. Its also cool they let kids drive the boat/truck in the river as well. Something that they will never forget. Sit in the back if the weather is good so you dont have a roof over your head for great views of the buildings.

Carnegie Museum of Art is one of the must-see destinations of Pittsburgh. There are 4 Carnegie archives in the city. Apart from the art museum, the others are the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, the Music Hall and the Carnegie Library. The Museum of Art is situated at 4400 Forbes Avenue in the Oakland region of the city. It was founded by the famous philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie in 1895. It is mainly famous for its distinguished American as well as European art collections, dating abck to 16th century.

Who hasn't heard the name Carnegie. That name is associated with music, theater and art. It is a magnificent place. Just being in the Music Hall Foyer you get a sense of greatness. We held a reception there in the Foyer and allowed guest to stroll around in the Hall of Architecture. This hall has the largest collection of plaster cast masterpieces in the country. Talk about a hall. It is truly a work of art. It was a very memorable experience. I feel proud just to say I have been to the Carnegie Museum of Art.

A great way to relax after a business meeting is to watch the Fountain Show. The Fountains at Bessemer Court, Right in the heart of Station Square is a must see tourist attraction. The Waltzing Waters choreographed to music soars up to a height of 40 feet in air. There are a dozen different shows with the water dancing to the tunes of some of the most popular pop songs of 60's 70's and 80's. You can watch shows like the Great Film Themes Show, The Frank Sinatra show, Beach Boys Show, Disney Magic show etc.

Primanti is synonymous with Pittsburgh. You can almost call it a tradition that began in 1933. The aroma pulls you in  from down the street. The primanti sandwich is all all in one meal that includes meat, cheese, egg and french fries all piled together and wrapped in a paper. This is the best place to head to when you are in a hurry or really hungry. Today you find many branches across the city.
