Transportation options in Hawaii
Abundance of sun, sand and natural beauty make Hawaii a dream destination for tourists from all across the globe. The six main islands of the archipelago are: Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and Hawaii's big island.Transportation in Hawaii is not such a big problem, with rental cars being the best mode of transportation.
For your week long itinerary, I still believe, rental car is the best and the cheapest way to move around and explore this beautiful place. In Oahu you don't really need a car rental to go around, but on other islands (like Kaui, Maui and Molokai), you will need one. In Waikiki, you don't need to go for a car. Mopeds are a popular mode of transportation in Waikiki and Honolulu. There are also other modes of transportation to travel from one island to another.
