Thanks for suggestions, we've decided on going to Grand Teton and Yellowstone. Can you drill down and give me a very specific itinerary for the three days we have? We'll land in SLC on Sat night and could start driving Sun morning. Since Grand Teton appears to be first on the way, seems like that's where we should stay first? Please mention specific lodges and trails we should take. I might also... ...read more
Hi there! I am totally envious that you are going to Yellowstone. I am just back from a vacation to Yosemite, but Yellowstone has something that definitely stands apart from the rest! Grand Teton is also a stunningly beautiful National Park just south of Yellowstone. After doing some research I have made an itinerary for you. Hope you like it! Who knows some day I will be needing that same itinerary.

So first rentals for SFO
I trawled through some websites for car rentals and the brand that is working out the cheapest is Fox which I saw on both expedia.com and kayak.com. All the others like Dollar and Budger were over the $500 mark as the total price. I tried figuring cheaper rates from other locations but I think Fox works out the best from the airport.
This rate from Expedia is for 15th September at 11.30 pm and a drop on 25th September at 9.30... read more

I'm going to take a short, 3-day break between Sep25th-27th and travel to some national park with my wife and 2yr old daughter. On the 24th, I'll be in SF and need to be in NYC by Sep 28th. I can only fly Jetblue. We were thinking of flying to Salt Lake City and then drive from there to one of the national parks around. I believe my options are Grand Teton and Yellowstone in the north and... ...read more
Hey there!!
It’s great that you want to explore the area around Salt Lake City and visit some national parks!
I have explored the options you listed and came up with suggestions of my own.

Firstly I highly recommend Yellowstone since it’s a great tourist attraction and an amazing park for hikes and other activities. I could also suggest that you stay around Yellowstone and take a one day trip to Grand Teton since it’s only a couple of hours away from there.
For going south I would recommend Moab over Monument Valley... read more

I run mygola.com, and am looking to find events that are related to: a) consumer web or b) related to the travel industry (hoteliers, online travel sites, etc). Ideally, I'd like to avoid conferences where entry fees are in the thousands of dollars but if they... ...read more
